Micky Dolenz, the last surviving member of The Monkees, has filed a lawsuit against

the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for failing to provide him

On Tuesday, August 3, Micky Dolenz sued the FBI

requesting the disclosure of all legal records pertaining to him and the other members of his band

Why was the Department of Justice the target of this lawsuit

Micky Dolenz had previously attempted to obtain the legal documents

but had received no answer, according to the complaint that was initially reported in the media

The FBI looked into The Monkees in the 1960s over supposed anti-Vietnam War activities

The FBI papers that were made public were redacted

but they revealed that one of the agents had physically attended the concert
